The Vlaams Instituut voor het Onroerend Erfgoed (VIOE), the Flemish Institute for Heritage, bought Site Recorder for use in the Atlas of the 2 Seas project

The Oxford Centre for Maritime Archaeology at the University of Oxford buy Site Recorder 4 for projects in Egypt

The University of Rhode Island bought Site Recorder 4 for recording during fieldwork at Akko in Israel

Site Recorder 4 is being used for the Marine Historic Environment Project by the Department of Archaeology at Orkney College

January 2011

The Liberty 70 Project was launched to study the history and remains of the Liberty ship James Eagan Layne off Plymouth, UK.  This is another SHIPS Project supported by ProMare UK.

3H Consulting is now supporting the Friends of Purton with their plan to record and monitor the hulks at Purton, UK

3H Consulting is now supporting the Cleveland Underwater Explorers Inc., in Ohio, USA

Papers on 'The SHIPS Project - Shipwrecks and History in Plymouth Sound' and 'Developing Magnetometer Techniques to identify Submerged Archaeological Sites' were presented by Peter Holt at the SHA2011 conference in Austin, Texas.

December 2010

The Heritage Division, Australia bought a number of copies of Site Recorder 4 for use developing the Australian National Shipwreck Database

The Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia in Mexico bought Site Recorder 4.

October 2010

The Australian National Shipwreck Database now integrates Site Recorder files.

August 2010

The digital site archive from the Whiting Project (see May 2010) is now available online at the web site.

Site Recorder 4 was bought by the Polish Maritime Museum in Gdansk

Site Searcher is to be used by CISMAS on the Lyonesse Project in the Isles of Scilly, this project is co-ordinated by Historic Environment Projects, Cornwall Council

A beta version of Site Searcher was used by the University of Plymouth for geophysical surveys as part of the BSc Ocean Exploration and MSc Hydrography courses

Site Recorder V4.25.1 Released, includes the new Demonstration (Demo) mode to allow the program to be used for training even without a software key attached to the computer or network server.

A paper about SR4 on 'Towards a Standard Recording Schema for Maritime Archaeology' will be presented by Peter Holt at SHA 2010 Conference in Florida, this paper is about the development of the generic database schema used by Site Recorder

December 2009

Site Recorder 4 was bought by the Underwater Science Group, who specialise in the safe training of divers for recreational, technical, scientific and archaeological SCUBA diving.

November 2009

Site Recorder was used on a regional training programme on underwater cultural heritage taking place in Chanthaburi, Thailand.  The training activity is organized by the UNESCO Bangkok Office in collaboration with ICOMOS-ICUCH, NAS and the Underwater Archaeology Division of Thailand to which the Centre is attached.

June 2009

Site Recorder 4 was bought by the Swedish National Maritime Museums for use in underwater archaeology projects

The Australian Institute for Maritime Archaeology (AIMA) Training Victoria bought Site Recorder for fieldwork projects and training

The Grand Traverse Bay Underwater Preserve, USA, has bought Site Recorder 4 to use as a GIS for the entire preserve and the numerous archaeological sites to be found there.

Site Recorder 4 was used for planning, mapping and recording by ProMare on the Formiche wreck off Capraia, Italy

May 2009

Site Recorder was bought by Arka Consultores in Chile.

Site Recorder is being used on a project to locate the remains of the East Indiaman Dutton in association with the University of Plymouth

A copy of Site Recorder 4 was purchased by Heritage Victoria in Australia

Site Recorder V4.23.14 Released

ProMare purchased Site Recorder 4 for their operations in Italy.  ProMare is a non-profit organization established in 2001 to promote marine research and exploration throughout the world.
