| Site Recorder 4 SE
(Student Edition) is a free survey program developed specifically
for use in marine and intertidal archaeological projects. The
program can be used for survey data processing and to assist in the
management and organisation of survey tasks. Features on the
site can be represented by a series of points and measurements made
between the points can be used to generate a site plan. Site
Recorder 4 SE supports direct distance measurements (DSM,
trilateration), depth measurements, GPS positions, offsets, ties
(baseline trilateration) and radial measurements. Site
Recorder 4 SE also records dive logs and associates them with survey
points and measurements.
Site Recorder 4 SE is ideal for teaching basic 2D
and full 3D survey techniques. The program can be used and redistributed by teaching organisations, universities, schools and
avocational groups at no cost.
